Welcome to the official website for Leanne Rowat, MLA Riding Mountain.

I was first elected to the Legislature in 2003. My eight years of experience has provided me with the ability to provide a strong voice for rural Manitoba families and their communities. As MLA, I will continue advocating for a strong, progressive Manitoba and ensuring everyone has an opportunity to realize their potential, especially those of us living in rural communities. It is through my community involvement I receive insight into my constituents’ needs, as well as a keen understanding of the challenges the province faces in creating an economic environment that fosters growth and opportunity.

The new Riding Mountain constituency is vast. Over the next four years I will continue developing solid working relationships with the many municipal councils, school boards, and community organizations. We will build strong communities by working together in a fair, respectful and transparent manner.

I have deep roots in this new constituency. Part of Riding Mountain includes the former Minnedosa constituency that I represented since 2003, and the new areas of the riding hold a special place for me—it is where I grew up and have family roots.
